Welcome to the web site of
the Friends of
Centenary and West End Parks
On this site you will find information on the exciting developments in the above Parks. The Friends group was formed in 2004 consisting of a group of people interested in improving the Centenary and West End Parks with the aim of bringing them back into use by the community. This initiative originally came from North Lanarkshire Council, who at that time had set up the Urban Parks Department which has now been disbanded and the responsibility for the parks is now with the Land Services Department. Their remit is to encourage and assist the Friends group in maintaining and developing these two Airdrie parks.
